too many fics, not enough time

And now I'm PISSED, especially because I waited too long after the sixty-something-day-deadline to return the damn thing. (What? I've been too busy to play as much as I wish I could...)

So. Anyway. New plot bunnies, but I'm restraining myself until I get my current multi-chapter fucking DONE already. I don't know why I keep setting myself up for those when I know that I'm probably going to lose interest in the story before I ever finish it, but I want to share anyway. Beware the long rambling.
THE AFOREMENTIONED EVIL BUNNIES.
Lithium (KH): A dark AU (Riku/Sora, Seifer/Squall, and Sephiroth/Cloud, naturally) that's already had its first chapter posted on Y!Gallery. I like it a lot, actually, but I've been putting in off in favor of getting other fics done first. Depressed Riku, schizophrenic Cloud, government conspiracies, and Squeon and Sora trying to keep everything from falling apart, especially when the past comes back to haunt them.
(That's the best part of KH. All my favorite gaming yaoi couples in one fic without having to wrangle with alternate dimensions or something stupid like that.)
The Book of Glory Road (FFVII): another dark AU. SxC. Tentative working summary goes along the lines of, An abused boy escapes the dark into dreams of the Promised Land, and learns of sacrifice to save an angel without a heart. The boy being Cloud, of course, abused by Hojo in the name of science and all that happy stuff, and the angel being a fallen Sephiroth; and since Sephiroth-the-angel doesn't have a heart, Cloud decides to give him his own. Lots of angst and drama and Aeris playing with Tarot cards.
(And the name, and idea, came to me long before I ever heard of the movie Glory Road...I think it's about basketball, right? Or football? Something. Point being, no relation between the two. The title was one of those 'it's-two-in-morning-and-it-seems-like-a-good-idea' ideas.)
A Red Apocrypha (FFVII): Post game. SxC, SxZxC, ZxC -- woot. A Zack-comes-back!fic, but not by supernatural means. I've always thought it weird that Hojo would simply leave specimen bodies lying around on clifftops, and if he managed to keep Vincent alive after shooting him point-blank...well, A+B=C, right? Lots of Utterly-fucking-insane!Cloud with some SOLDIER bonding....awww, how sweet. Problem with this one being I'm not sure how to end it. Damn it.
Seven Days of Grace (Naruto): NaruSasu, post time-skip. One of many Sasuke-returns-after-being-a-fucktard. The problem--he's killed Itachi and now doesn't know what to do with himself, the Kyuubi is eating Naruto from the inside out, Sasuke's trying to find a way to stop it mostly for lack of anything else to do and driving himself to an early grave in the process, and Naruto's having pesky dreams that weirdly enough seem to be about Sasuke as a kid for complicated reasons involving seals, chakra, and trust issues. But not in a pedophilic way, ick. ::sighs:: But I doubt I'll ever get around to this one, since Cloud and Sephiroth are the only ones I've been able to think about recently.
One of my favorite things about writing NaruSasu is the fact that it's very similar to writing Riku/Sora, only the latter stop short of actually hitting one another. Naruto and Sasuke are like Sora and Riku on steriods and testosterone with something to prove. Totally entertaining and dysfunctional.
By the way, I'm sharing because I love hearing what other people might think, good or bad or whatever. But the recognizable stealing of plots shall result in extreme pissiness and harassment. So please, just...don't.

And yes, I totally agree with you - I want more action, too (as in, both on the battlefield and in the bedroom XP).
