1) The last few seasons of Stargate SG-1 (which weren't as awesome because OMG! No Richard Dean Anderson! FAIL!). This is mostly the "Or-I" going head-to-head bringing their creepy-scary religion that has mad effects on peoples and technology to the world. And there are stargates.
2) GHOST HUNT! The manga didn't thrill me as much as the anime did, but this was such a fun series! The first few episodes in particular hang heavier on the science but the later stuff much less so; you get characters from different walks of life- a shinto miko, a buddist monk, a catholic priest, a chinese...something, and a scientist debunking and exorcizing various creepies. And there's a high school girl who just might be developing latent psychic powers of her own...? ^_^ But a totally fun 26 or so episodes. (There's one or two in the middle that I can't watch when I'm alone though...)
