jukeboxhound_backup: (people - woman reading.)
Deleting my original post because hello bitterness, fuck you, THIS IS SO MUCH BETTER.  Normally I just throw recs at delicious, but I enjoyed this one too much to not say anything.  Usually I don't care for "character [x] discovered fanfiction, is horrified/turned on/etc" meta, but this one and [livejournal.com profile] longsufferingly 's As Seen in the Urban Dictionary, in which the characters were fans themselves all along, have been lovely.  And this one made me laugh hard enough that I should be glad for taking advantage of Scotland's healthcare system.

And yes, someone may have noticed that I've now posted a similar prompt in the X-Men kinkmemes.  Hush, you.

The Theory of Narrative Causality
By: anonymous (if the author's de-anoned, let me know?  Because Jesus.)
Fandom: BBC!Sherlock Holmes
Pairing: Holmes/Watson (with fic!Holmes/fic!Watson, LOL INCEPTION)
Rating: Probably NC-17
Prompt: Sherlock is a well-known fanartist whose online antics always land him on fandom_wank. John's a beloved BNF fanfiction author. They meet at a convention; geeky love ensues.  [NOTE: The actual story differs from this slightly, but still works.]
Warning: It's a (loooong) commentfic, so navigating it can get rather irritating.  Hopefully someone somewhere has posted a link to the author's journal.

(I now have no excuse not to go to a cafe that doesn't have Internet so I can actually get some work done.  Yes, Internet, this is what you've reduced me to.)

ETA: I keep thinking about how strange it would be to read fic of characters with your own name and your lover's.  I share a relatively rare first name with a minor but infamous character in Harry Potter, and it still trips me out whenever I see it.

ETA2: Link to the Fandom Lounge post of this, which itself links to the fic's main parts.  I think I was so excited after reading that I entirely forgot that this was where I'd found it.  Thank you, [livejournal.com profile] chofi .  I'd lose my head and just keep smiling half the time without you.

ETA3: Thanks, [livejournal.com profile] dracontia .  :D  It seems the author of this is [livejournal.com profile] falling_voices , and here's a round-up post of everything for it.

jukeboxhound_backup: (stock - happy pills.)
Because I may have something of an interest - nay, a fascination - with this nonsense of incestuous brothers and apocalyptic shenanigans.  Although there's also a gen, two PG ratings, and two threesomes, so any accusations of a blind fixation are pure falsehoods.

Does anybody know what we are living for ~ )

A present for everyone, although if it was ganked from [livejournal.com profile] craww does it still count as a present?

The [livejournal.com profile] spn_j2_bigbang 2010  works are out!  \o/  Many (read: most) of the fics are RPS/RPF, but here are some of the Wincest ones that I enjoyed.  This is an interesting fandom, pairings-wise...

(The main reason I do these fic recs is so that I can keep track of my own favorites without filling up my bookmarks folder, but also so that other people might enjoy them.  Fyi.)

The end is nigh and the incest is strong. )
jukeboxhound_backup: (spn - young and chosen sam.)

Sam/Dean/Castiel fics, what few I found and liked, all unrepentantly NC17.

So a hunter, the Antichrist, and an angel all walk into a sex shop... )

The Firefly that Loved Metallica
Author: fleshflutter
Pairing: Eventual Sam/Dean
Rating/Warnings: R - post-AHBL
Summary: In which Sam has a bottle full of soul.
Note:  Fleshflutter is amazing anyway, but this fic in particular is brilliant.  She shows just how lost Sam is without Dean, and her Jo, Ellen, and Bobby are <3 as well.  One that makes you laugh and teary-eyed all at once.

A few days ago I was awake for a good thirty-six hours and spent almost the entire time doing nothing but reading FMA fic.  My brain is sick of it and my bookmarks folder is now swollen with crap to rec, of which this is just a fraction.  (I got bored so I'll do the rest later.)

"It has been brought to my attention that I want to have sex with you," Ed said aggressively. )

Find the Moon
Author: sol 1056
Fandoms: Fullmetal Alchemist + Gundam Wing
Characters: Duo, Ed, Al (genfic)
Rating/Warnings: PG - mild battle violence
Summary: Duiren's alchemist is dead, and his basement's filled with vicious chimera, and a...homunculus? Edward and Alphonse investigate.
Note: Boring summary, I know, and the rating and lack of pairings are unusual for me.  But I loved all the characterizations, and that neither Duo nor Ed outshone the other (as is common in crossovers) but were equals.  Overall it was a lovely piece.  <3  I also recommend the other works by this person.

...Um, not to be annoying, but can anyone rec some fic?  Preferably FF7, FMA, or GW?  I don't get around much in fandom anymore, so I don't know What's What or Where To Go.   >.>

And I'm the kind of fangirl that sticks to only a few pairings, so if not gen, then Roy/Ed, any combo of Sephiroth/Zack/Cloud (+Aeris), or 1x2/2x5/1x2x3x4x5.

jukeboxhound_backup: (spn - wtf.)
Will update THE MASTERLIST when I get around to it.  I have a job now oh god.

Just a few.

hey, dad, what do you think about your son now ~ )
jukeboxhound_backup: (spn - young and chosen sam.)
I'm starting to get the feeling that my style of rec'ing is getting to be the length of the fics themselves.  Once again cleaning out my Bookmarks.  ^^;

Cut for ridiculous length. (...lol that's what she said. *is shot*) )

Okay, sorry, I know I've been posting a lot lately, but this is fic is just too awesome not to share.  (AND THERE'S A SCENE IN MY HIPPIE-VEGETARIAN-VERY GAY-CALIFORNIA STEREOTYPE HOMETOWN AND THE SATURN CAFE IS PORTRAYED SO HILARIOUSLY ACCURATELY THAT I CAN'T EVEN EXPRESS THE DEPTH OF MY CURRENT FANGIRLING.)  \o/

This is Ourselves (Under Pressure)
Author: clex_monkie89
Pairing: Sam/Dean
Rating/Warnings: NC17 - Spoilers up until 2.12 - Nighshifter. Established relationship.
Summary: After Nightshifter, Sam and Dean hit the road. What follows is three months of fear and frustration with the FBI hot on their heels, trying to avoid the long arm of the law while still continuing to work. It's not easy; being on the run doesn't leave much time for breathing, never mind sleep, sex or any much-needed downtime.
Note: This is author does an amazing job balancing their sibling-ness with the sexual aspect and it's all gross and hot and dirty-beautiful and utterly real.  Well, imo.

These Things Were Promises
Author: paperclipbitch
Fandom: Sherlock Holmes movie!verse (but mostly in characterization, really)
Pairing: Holmes/Watson
Rating: NC17
Word Count: 53, 181
Summary: Set pre-movie. Watson has had to take a brutal course in being honest with himself so nothing Holmes says will ever be a surprise.

Found it in the Holmes/Watson '09 community.

hadesphoenix13: scenario: cuddy, cameron, chase, foreman are walking down the corridor to house's office; music that is unmistakably lady gaga is blaring loudly from the open door of wilson's office. house is standing just outside of it.

hadesphoenix13: wilson's voice: GODDAMNIT HOUSE

hadesphoenix13: cuddy: ....what's going on?

And now for something completely different.
