A few days ago I was awake for a good thirty-six hours and spent almost the entire time doing nothing but reading FMA fic. My brain is sick of it and my bookmarks folder is now swollen with crap to rec, of which this is just a fraction. (I got bored so I'll do the rest later.)
The 'After' Series
Author: Branch
Pairing: Roy/Ed
Rating/Warnings: NC17 - Divergent Future, spoilers through ep 18.
Summary: Suppose the series ended with Al restored, but not Ed, and Bradley still in power. Roy takes Ed back under his wing and teaches him to be even more formidable. Drama and domesticity ensue, as Ed and Roy deal with politics and relationships and wind up being unspeakably adorable in their own way.
Note: Roy's still a manipulative bastard, but in a good way. Interesting and well-written.
By Any Other Name
Author: Harukami
Characters: Greed, Kimberly
Rating/Warnings: PG - not even any language.
Summary: None given. (Greed makes fun of Kimberly's first name.)
Note:
artimusdin was all 'meh.' I lol every time I read this.
Hangups
Author: inugrlrayn
Pairing: Ed/Roy (seme!Ed :D)
Rating/Warnings: NC17
Summary: None given. (Roy has a sexuality crisis. Ed rolls his eyes.)
Note: For once, Roy's the one freaking out and Ed's trying to knock some sense into him, but it doesn't lose the snarkiness on either side.
Housewarming
Author: Harukami + WhiteCat
Pairing: Roy/Ed
Rating/Warnings: NC17 - language.
Summary: None given. (Roy drags Ed to a military function.)
Note: Probably one of the most rec'd fic in FMA fandom, but for a good reason.
Prognosticate
Author: lightgetsin
Pairing: Roy/Ed in a 'possible future' kind of way.
Rating/Warnings: NC17
Summary: “Divination alchemy,” Ed said scornfully. “Also known as complete and total bullshit.”
Note: The reason you shouldn't get a glimpse of the future before you're actually there.
To the Letter
Author: rainjoyous
Pairing: R
Rating/Warnings: R - language and mentions of sex, though none actually happens.
Summary: Post-movie: Ed has a bright idea, Roy disagrees, and Al and Winry bred demon-children, as we all knew they would.
Note: The only real criticism I have about rainjoyous is the emotional dependency and sappiness of the characters she tends to write. But it's Fuhrer!Roy, and I'm entertained by his 'oh geez not again' attitude towards Ed's flipping out.
Window Dressing
Author: the Hoyden
Pairing: Roy/Ed preslash
Rating/Warnings: PG
Summary: "On some level, Roy knew that marriage would be a good career move."
Note: So damn entertaining and IC.
You and Your Fuck Awful Timing
Author: lightgetsin
Pairing: Roy/Ed
Rating/Warnings: NC17
Summary: "It has been brought to my attention that I want to have sex with you," Ed said aggressively.
Note:
