the woes of a carnivore
Oct. 24th, 2007 12:55 pmMy brother gave my dad and I some samples of kobe beef (the meat that costs like a gazillion dollars for a measly little piece and which Japanese exporters tend to hoard). It's a finely marbled steak that's supposed to be so rich that a quarter pound is considered almost a meal in itself.
...It tastes like beef. Good beef, yes, but still just beef. Apparently I'm too much of a plebeian to understand that price makes food taste better; that, or it was my Irish ancestry crying out for a good solid steak and potatoes. XD (I honestly don't understand what the big deal is with kobe beef...)
