Guh. The 'Dead Can Dance' one outright made my stomach twist into little knots, it was almost like watching a train wreck - horrifying and fascinatingly wrong, ya know? I felt very horrible for Cloud - of course, it's very hard not to. The last one also struck a chord through me, because Zack is obviously trying to get through to Cloud's damaged psyche, but Sephiroth's so overpowering (mental-wise - and how ironic considering Jenova's pulling his strings too) in his presence that... Cloud's just not pulling through. Or even wants to do so, for that matter.
Cloud has always been a favourite - right after Cecil, really (who actually went through the literal 'journey of redemption': dark to light - and also because I had a seven-year-old's crush on his menu portrait and character, but we aren't going there today - DS just made it come back with a vengeance, damn that pretty face! XD) - because he is so messed up, that you can, oddly, relate and sympathize with, or at least feel empathetic towards him. I think Kain was supposed to be second, after Cecil, because I spent half my time thinking he was a kick-ass character and alternatively hating his figurative balls for being a backstabber, but Cloud gets that lovely place. Hee hee!
I found that I also enjoyed the 'Benedictine Monks' Drabble - it had a slithery feel to it, like a slow and steady corruption, and the fact that the black wing was totally Sephiroth's made it worth it, too (it was Seph, right? Not Genesis - although, hot too, I primarily enjoyed the Sephiroth connotations)!
I have so not watched Gundam Wing, since I was about 11 or 12, I think, so in about seven-eight years - basically a long time. The main thing I remember about that anime was that: Heero was reckless with himself, Duo and he had something going on (yes, even back then I was relentless in my male/male fascination, and its only grown worse - the wonders of the brain!), Quatre went batty in a space-thingy with his dead-or-dying-slash-unconscious older sister, and Trowa got amnesia and was a clown in a cirus, and Lady Una turned into a different person by basically taking her glasses off (which, trust me, confused the crap out of me back then - I was like, "SUPERMAN?!"). Oh yeah, and something about Relena and throwing herself out a window, or was that a fanfic?Either way, I really enjoyed that drabble, too. Duo is a crazy/high-on-adrenaline-SOB, and it's so right!
Although, I wasn't familiar with the very first drabble's characters, it had a very humorous and perverse (which made it funnier) tone throughout it. It was a good, charming read, made me chuckle, especially at the end when he's explaining himself fully to his partner. Is it an anime or video game?
Sasuke is a very messed up young man - and was there a more symbolic meaning to his drabble - he does have cancer or is it supposed to be, like a figurative cancer, soul-shredding-type of deal? I loved how he had Naruto so high on a pedestal, that he simply won't touch him in the way he wants to, and I bet the way Naruto wants him, too. *cough*
There, I actually previewed to make sure everything was fine, instead of excitedly typing and submitting like a douche-bag. :P *pats herself on the back, big-time*
