I feel rather bad for Cloud as well, but he's just too much to hurt. And you have no idea how relieved I am that you understood the last drabble; it wasn't until after I'd written and posted it that it occurred to me just how vague it was. I figured that if someone called me on it I could just blame a stressed mindset.
(I with I could add my own two cents about Cecil and Kain, but I only know their names and absolutely nothing about their supposed characters. When I get around to dedicating a full weekend to playing the game, I'll let you know. XD)
Of course it was Sephiroth - no matter how many pretty characters Nomura throws into FF7, I will always remain a SxC shipper. In fact sometimes I miss pre-CC fandom, when it was still just Sephiroth and Zack and Cloud. But hey.
Dude, I bought the entire series+OVA on DVD (totally pirated in Hong Kong, of course) and rewatched it recently. I hadn't realized how much fandom's twisted the characters, especially Duo, whom I consider to be a deliciously cynical fatalist of the highest kind. And Heero's so indredibly idealistic and Quatre so off his rocker, and really, thirty bucks was so totally worth it.
The first drabble was for Get Backers. It's an anime, although I'm more familiar with the manga, and it's...all right. Not bad at all, although I've seen a few better.
Oh god Sasuke. *snuggles the emo boy and gets a kunai in the ribs* I actually hadn't meant the cancer part literally, just a metaphor, so it was definitely a figurative thing. And I could just go off on these two forever, but I'd like to avoid wankage, kthnx.
