Holy fuck! I've stayed up the entire night reading, absolutely enthralled with your story. It deserves chapter by chapter rave-reviewing but damn, I'm almost incoherent (thanks to the what I'm considering a lethal combination of your sheer awesomeness and sleep-deprivation). So this is going to be a big fan-girly squee and a tag for future rereading.

So I just wanted to say wow. I? Am in love. At this moment the only thing I'm disappointed with is that it ends. The way you've woven the story is brilliant. Planet-sentence and self preservation instinct and Cloud whumping. And... well, gods- if I wasn't in the middle of moving (and at the end of spring brake) I think I'd forgo the next six hours of sleep and reintroduce myself to VII just to bask in post collateral bliss of your story.

Your characters will forever be how I picture them. And that whole Planet saved, but they're doomed by a Plague thing? Yeah. Totally my VII canon now. I've never come across Sephiroth/Cloud (and I'm not entirely sure why, because I'm somewhat predisposed to seeing slash-y relationships for the sheer novelty and sexy angst) but damn, that too is now my personal VII canon.

I think my favorite one liner (at the moment and subject to change upon second-third-fortieth readings) would have to be Angeal’s narrative thought: of course Sephiroth would have Strife as an angel. It packed just about every emotion I’ve been feeling since the prologue. Elation, horror, grief, humor, weary acceptance, inevitability and hopefulness and pain. And well, I’ve laughed and there were tears and I’ve been an emotional mess watching your story unfold. You’ve brought these characters to life!

"Eir's Tomorrow" will forever be where these characters are headed.

You are a rocking bard and I look forward to your next chapter!

I...don't really know how to respond except to admit that I'm blushing furiously. Well, and to wonder how you've never come across Sephiroth/Cloud before because it REALLY, REALLY MIGHT AS WELL BE CANON. And also to point the way to my beta for correcting some of the stupidest mistakes and putting up with my...what, eccentricity? I'm imagining those pretentious artists that are all HOW DO YOU EXPECT ME TO CREATE IN THIS ENVIRONMENT, THERE ARE NO PUPPIES AND MY WATER WAS NOT COLLECTED BY LITTLE SLAVE CHILDREN FROM A TINY SPRING IN THE TIBETAN MOUNTAINS, and their agents being all, ...Okay, fine, we can sacrifice a few children.

If this fic was to actually be the characters' future, I'd feel both guilty and pitying. Because Cloud really doesn't stand a chance against his fangirls. ^^;

I liked the idea of Sephiroth having an angel named for war. *is a dork*

And your girl/laptop OTP icon is freakin awesome and so painfully true.

*long suffering sigh* Do I need to start searching for children nobody would miss?

I'd settle for those professors that test you on whether or not you've done the reading ("Did X's example use a university or a bank as a metaphor?") rather than the actual concepts.

Or kittens. Whichever.

But the professors want to make sure you understand the subject matter, rather than have you just regurgitate the text. I... actually prefer the latter. I do better that way, rather than having to remember specifics like that.

No kittens for you.

But that's a stupid way of teaching. If I can present an argument and all its counters and counter-counters, then who gives a shit if I actually did the reading? *huffs*

...Puppies?

Ah, but if you don't do the reading, how do you know the author didn't try to slip something sneaky in?

... you may have a puppy once you don't have to worry about bringing it through international ports. =P
