ladies and gentlemen

for the first time ever

i have managed to meet a big bang deadline

And even then it probably wouldn't have happened if I hadn't spilled yakisoba all over my bag in NYC, which happened to have been carrying one of [livejournal.com profile] tir_synni's notebooks, and I was thus consumed by soul-sucking guilt and I promised I'd finish this thing.  (For the record, no Unexpected Side-effects was lost in the process, and [livejournal.com profile] arin_rowan made it better with some sparkly FFVII stickers she found and shared.  :DDD  And now I'm missing them and chofi and [livejournal.com profile] artimusdin and The Strand's inventory of $5 hardcover comic collections.)

anyway

EXTREMIS

IN THE MCU

You know you want it.

i hope you do oh god the pressure

Is it the cap-ironman bigbang? Is your fic Dreaming Electric? If so, it sounds awesome (and if not, I'm sure it will still be awesome).

Can't wait to read regardless.

INDEED IT IS. I saw a lot of people wishing for MCU!Extremis, including myself, and finally I thought I'd surrender and at least give it a shot. Fuck I hope it works.

Thanks. :DDD

I loved the extremis and would love the see fic of it in MCU. I am totally sure you will do an awesome job of it.

Have you heard that they're planning on using extremis in IM3? I am both nervous and excited for that. We'll see how it turns out.

Oh btw, congrats on your second artist claim XD

Hey, also, she'll kill me for this but you kudo'd a friend's work on AO3 and she almost had a heart attack cos you're one of her favourite authors. Not sure why I'm telling you this except to embarrass her and to let you know you're fucking awesome I guess.

Eep. /blush If you wanted to, you could tell her that I'm kind of picky about what I read and give kudos on, which means I must've loved it. <3

...I think my previous comment came out sounding egotistical. What I mean is that obviously I thought your friend's fic was lovely because kudos aren't a thing to throw around lightly, and WHO KNOWS, she could be one of the authors I stalk. Bwahaha.

Haha It's all right I got what you meant. She could be! The internet is a small world.

I hope it doesn't sound patronising for me to say well done. I think it's a lot harder to finish longfic now than it used to be for all of us, since fandom has moved in a much more shortform direction even than the drabble stuff.

It's not patronizing at all, god knows my track record for finish a longer fic is...well, almost nonexistent, despite all my best intentions. I've decided that I'll no longer post an incomplete story, even if that means posting much less often.

Huh, I never really thought about it, but shorter stories have become more of the norm in the last, like, decade or so that I've been reading fic. This sudden explosion of Big Bang challenges is a godsend in that sense, then. :D

First off, I'm looking forward to reading it because you write good stuff even when it's short and drabble-y.

Second. CONGRATS! Both on meeting the deadline and on finishing a long fic. I hope this starts a trend... =]

Thirdly, it's nice to know you're back to writing. I know you were having a hard time of it for a while.

You're so sweet. :'D

I've decided I'll no longer post a fic that's incomplete, goddamnit. One benefit to these challenges is that I have to develop the discipline to sit down and just fucking write and not get distracted by Tumblr or other people's stories, and I've always worked best with deadlines. I researched and wrote my entire dissertation the week it was due, ahahaha.
