My mum passed at 5:46 AM on 30 July 2009 in the hospital.  I was with her, so she wasn't alone, at least.

...Am 'comfortably numb', as my aunt describes it, and in the midst of clearing out her home.  Needless to say I probably won't be updating for a while.

I...well, thank you.  You wouldn't think the support from near-anonymous people would mean anything, but it honestly does, and even though I'm feeling awkward as I type, I also feel blessed and honored and generally wooby on you guys.

I feel like I've put my foot in my mouth reviewing your story and going all jolly about it, and THEN finding your journal and reading this. I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. I know what it feels like to lose a parent and it's extremely hard; Numbing like you said. My deep condolences. Be well!
